Company Policy

Martin Braumandl founded the company in 1904. He opened his first workshop in the heart of Zurich, at Neumarkt 3.

The company had 6 employees by 1910 and so the store expanded, but by 1922 they had to move to their current larger location Zahringerstraße 20, in the old town of Zurich. At that time there existed only four pewter foundries in Switzerland and Braumandl was the leading house. From 1938 to1941 they even had a branch on the famous Bahnhofstraße.

In 1943 Martin passed and his son Eugene took over successfully expanding his fathers work. 39 years later he retired from work and Eugene junior became the proprietor with his wife Monika and still run the business today. Since 1991 their son Michael, representing the 4th. generation, has worked with the company and is currently expanding the markets into corporate and sports medallions and trophies.

They also are available for:

  • Engravings (in their own studio)

  • Polishing and cleaning

  • Replating of copper goods

  • Expert appraisals and estimates

  • Special preparations and small series, made to order

  • Repairing and restoring of tin, cupper, brass und bronze items.
